Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfil my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others.
– Philippians 2:1-4
Being humble draws us closer to God. When we shift our focus from self to the cross, we become more like Jesus Christ and are awakened to the reality that a fulfilled life is one lived out for His will and His glory, not in our own vain pursuits of personal satisfaction. And when we humble ourselves before God in obedience to His Word, He promises to lift us up, pointing us to Christ as our chief example (James 4:10).
OUR VISION
What are we about? thehumblepage.org is a blog that, simply put, aims to:
This forms the foundation of what we stand for, and although how we hope to achieve this will vary across different mediums, we strive to ensure a biblical standpoint, with every article, post and expression being conveyed from a Christ-centered, Kingdom-minded perspective and a heart of love. We do not presume to have all the answers, and are quite likely to get some things wrong along the way, but we know a God who has all the answers to every question we may have and all the difficult situations we face in life. All He wants is for us to come before Him with a humble heart and seek His face diligently. Indeed, His grace is sufficient for those who humble themselves to receive it.
