How deep is the father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure.
I remember growing up never experiencing the privileges of having a father around. All I could do is imagine the feeling from how my peers would share their adventures with their dads and how they boasted about being a daddy’s girl.
Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will[instead] give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will [instead] give him a snake? If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him. (Matthew 7: 9 – 11)
You are the Father’s heartbeat
The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord loves you so much. He will ask you to release and turn from thoughts, actions, conditions of your heart that are not pleasing to him. He wants us to live and abide in purity, honor and love. Please do not break His heart by living in sin. He has a reason for asking you to give up areas that compromise true holiness. He isn’t saying no because He is mean but because He has something better for you than what you desire to have.
He is not the kind of Father who would deny a good thing to you (Psalm 84:11). If He is trying to wrench a little sin toy out of your hand it is because he knows it will eventually destroy you or your self esteem so LET IT GO!
I want you to know that God loves you so much when He says no as He does when he says yes. He loves you so much when He wants you to give up something for Him as He does when He gives everything to you. His heart belongs to you. You are His heartbeat.
